What made it such an amazing experience is not just the business success of it. What I love most is the independence of running your own business, creating your own universe (however small it may be) and all the amazing people you get to meet.

We are raised in school with the idea that we need to find a job, settle down, get a kid, get a mortgage and work hard for when you retire. Don’t get me wrong here, there’s nothing wrong with that if that makes you happy. This didn’t make me happy though. And now I know why.

So think about what will make you really happy. Jump out of bed in the morning. Work till early mornings with a smile on your face. Is your current job really doing that?

What I want to say here is that life is way too short to waste it doing something you don’t love. This love is what makes people do great things. So find out what you love, and find a way to make a living out of it. There are plenty of opportunities. You just need to seize them.

I did it last year. And if I can do it, so can you.

Russian collective Dopludo has made this awesomely designed laptop stand. And I love it.

My work for UNDSCVRD gets me in touch with awesome people, and awesome products. And Bellroy is a great example of this.

This Australian brand is dedicated to improving the way we carry. And they have taken on wallets as a first challenge. Why wallets? Well, the basic shape of a wallet hasn’t evolved much over the past years, while our demands have changed quite a bit. Bellroy has tackled this problem and designed 5 awesome wallets. Ranging from very small to a full blown portfolio wallet, all tailored to modern man’s demands.

The wallets are designed to reduce bulk, allow easier access to the stuff you use daily and separate spaces for the stuff you don’t use that often. And besides all that, they just look amazing. Even the packaging is cool. Another brand I totally love. Just check out these movies they made to present their wallets, and you’ll understand what I mean.

As a little kid, you just had to have a tree house. Mine usually ended in a couple of planks nailed into some old tree without much structure. But this is the way I always imagined them to be. What an amazing project. It took Horace Burgess 14 years of construction to build this 30 meter high mother of all tree houses. Just have a look at the images below.
