The typeface you choose says a lot about who you are. But what typeface are you? To solve this question the people at Pentagram have created the very smart application entitled What Type Are You? By answering four simple questions about your personality, the psychologist selects what typeface suits you.
After a chat with the psychologist it turns out that I am Dot Matrix. What type are you?

I wish I had come up with this one to be honest. Alec Brownstein was smart enough to use Google AdWords to find a job. This is an example of next-level job searching. Awesome. The movie below explains it all.
Now thats making technology work for you. Alec, you deserve it man! Congrats!
App.itize.us is a must for every iPhone owner out there. As they state themselves they are a painstakingly curated presentation of the best produced and designed iPhone applications that are available for download via the App Store. And a great collection it is, nicely categorized for easy browsing. Check back regularly!
If you are like me and like good food but don’t have/ take the time to cook for yourself enough, Jamie Oliver’s recipes have always been a good help. Now he is entering the realm of the iPhone. He has an app, now containing 50 new recipes which all take about 20 minutes to prepare. Perfect!
Jamie himself introduces the many features that make the app so useful, like the 21 instruction videos. Other image-driven tools, like step-by-step pictures accompanying the instructions, make for a foolproof approach to cooking. Each recipe in the app also contains a handy interactive and sharable shopping list, which also allows you to stripe of items. With Jamie also sharing his kitchen essentials and, along with his notes on each recipes and tips along the way, this app puts a chef assistant in your pocket.
These are the kind of app’s which make me love my iPhone. For €5,99 I think it is a bargain, although I wonder whether they will be updating the app. with free new recipes regularly.
Here’s a nice new app for your iPhone: Gostly Discovery. This is an application which helps you select music which suits your mood.
How does it work? Check out the video below:
Currently this app is in beta and only available in the States. Keep your eye out for this one though!

Another nice app for all you iPhone-owning decorators out there: Colorsnap. Paint producers Sherwin/ Williams have created this smart iphone app. Colorsnap allows you to take a picture of whatever it is the color you like off and telling you the exact buildup of these colors. The only thing you have to do is get to a store and but the colors. Now this is making smart use of iPhone’s capabilities! Unfortunately the results are not always as you expect them to be because of the poor quality of the camera…
This is such a smart thing to do. To me, this proves that every kind of company can create smart apps which actually have an added value for the user. All it takes is creative thinking. And that’s where it stops at most companies… Well done Sherwin/ Williams!
Until the real Polaroid film is available again, the ShakeIt app. for your iPhone will help you satisfy your old school instant picture needs. Classed in the category useless but fun, you take a picture and watch you picture develop on your screen. Shaking your phone will actually make it develop faster (which in real life is one of the greatest myths because flapping the picture around didn’t help speed up the developing process).

My man Benoskar is good with his Brushes app on his iPhone. However, Jorge Colombo is taking it to the next level. His New York sceneries look amazing. So amazing that New Yorker Magazine has picked up one of his works and put it on the cover, as you can see in the picture.Amazingly, he has created this cover in just one hour on 42nd Street.
Jorge is pretty dedicated to this app, as it enables him to work anonimously in the streets. Sitting somewhere with paper and pencils always attract a certain amount of attention and iPhone is much easier to carry.
If you know any more great Brushes artists, let me know!
