The Denim Debate is a very nice site for all you jeans lovers out there. The Denim Debate is an assembled line up of 25+ guys and girls with one thing in common: Blue blood. They where gathered for the sole purpose of running great denim brands through the ringer. The Contributors come from varied walks of life: Bloggers, Writers, Poets, Musicians, Salesmen, Environmentalists, Shopkeepers, Craftsman, Students, and Style Mavens.
This eclectic mix of individuals was brought together by Ryan Plett of [CU5TOM_BRANDING]. The thought behind the site; showcase the best in premium denim while, at the same time, shining a light on the personalities that wear and have a passion for it.
What I think is funny, is that over time things are turning around. What I mean to say is that the jeans become the personalities, as they are followed over time. Because everyone wears and treats them differently all the pants get their own character. A great project!

#1: Why can’t you watch In the Mood for Love in a café in Tokyo on your laptop?
#2: Why is it so hard to meet people who share the same love for Antonioni?
#3: Wouldn’t it be great to instantly send Tati’s Playtime to a friend if you think they needed it? (There’s nothing like film therapy!)
#4: Why do films on the internet just look awful?
#5: Why are we talking as if we were John Cusack in High Fidelity?
These are the five questions that lay at the base of The Auteurs. The Auteurs is an amazing online destination for lovers of independent, foreign and classic film; the ones your local multiplex movie watching factory doesn’t play. An online cinema, anytime, anywhere.
The Auteurs will give you the latest buzz from the Cannes Film Festival or a restored masterpiece personally chosen by Martin Scorsese (he’s a member, too!). A social network that allows you to find a girl in Tokyo who loves Kubrick. The Auteurs enables you to watch, discover and discuss distinctive films from all over the world which would otherwise have passed you by quietly.
Watching a movie will cost you though. So far, I haven’t found any movies over $5,- which I think is a decent price. Going to the cinema of renting the DVD will set you back just as much. I think these guys have found a nice niche market for now, but I’m afraid it is just a matter of time before iTunes or Netflix will take over markets like these. But before that happens, these guys have built a great place for every movie lover out there!
