The Selvedge Yard recently posted an interesting piece on how New York in the 70′s looked and felt. The selection of pictures gives you a nice insight in how different things looked in Manhattan back then compared to today. The picture above for example has to be where The High Line park was opened recently as far as I can see, and must be somewhere in the now hot and happening Meatpacking district. Check out the entire post for more awesome pictures.

Unless you have been living in a cave for the past few days, you probably have been overwhelmed by tributes to MJ. I haven’t posted on it on purpose, as you might have had enough of it.
Looking at all the video’s which are continuously on TV has made me realise how great this man actually was, and how massive his impact has been on the music industry. He truly was one of the greatest artists ever, and certainly the first who made an impression on me.
As a tribute Life magazine has put up a great, massive collection of pictures of the man. Go check them out here.
RIP Michael. I hope you’ve finally find some peace and quiet…

I just found that Life Magazine has put its complete photo archive online. Millions of great pictures stretching from 1750 to today, this is an amazing database. Whether you use it for inspiration or simply browse it for fun, you must know that as soon as you enter the archive, it will set you back a couple of hours for sure!!
Be sure to send me your greatest finds, and I will make this a recurring post.
What a smart move by LIFE this is. Really. Instead of sitting on top of this archive till the end of days, they are now sharing with the world and engaging with people. This makes my marketing 2.0 heart beat a little faster. Thanks for joining the new age of marketing LIFE mag!
