Somewhere

I just realized I haven’t posted on movies for a while, so I decided to dive into the world of upcoming movies and see what caught my attention. The first one to do so was Somewhere, by Sofia Coppola. The movie is about bad boy actor Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff) who is living a life filled with sex, drugs and award shows. Until his eleven year old daughter Cleo, played by Elle Fanning, shows up to stay with him. This forces him to re-think his life.

The trailer immediately makes me think of Lost In Translation, I guess because of Coppola’s talent for selecting great music. Let’s hope Somewhere will be just as good! Set to be released by the end of this year.
