Aqualta By Studio Lindfors

Check out this project by Studio Lindfors called Aqualta. As you might know I love images like this. It imagines how New York and Tokyo look when they are almost entirely covered by water, giving you a peak at a time that could possibly happen if global warming continues and the ice caps continue melting. Check out my favorites below:

Check their Flickr-page for all their work.

Breathable, water repellent fabrics are nothing new, but I have never seen the used in an art-like presentation like this. Nice one! Check out the films below:

MyDetour by Moleskine

October 1st, 2009 | Posted in: art

MyDetour is a project by Moleskine, the producer of the oh-so-loveable notebooks. The project is dedicated to all lovers of painting, photography, illustration, writing. It’s an opportunity to share your creativity, on- and off-line: turn your Moleskine notebook into a piece of art, whatever your skill is, and drop it in our collecting box to participate. The jury will choose the best notebooks collected in each city, which will join the worldwide tour and be published on the online gallery. Also, one winner per city will be selected, who will be invited to the next Moleskine event, whereever it may be.

The competition was kicked off in San Francisco and will soon be followed by Tokio, Istanbul, Berlin, Paris and New York.

MyDetour projects run alongside the Detour Exhebitions, a traveling collection of notebooks by renowned writers and artists to the cities around mentioned above. Although my own banged up little book won’t stand a chance, this is still a very interesting project if you ask me, definitely worth checking out if you’re in the neighbourhood or simply follow it online.
