Everyone with an ounce of style in his body knows The Sartorialist. In this beautifully shot video Scott Schumann tells us how it started and how he works. A great watch and a great inspiration to start the week with. Enjoy!

Arcade Fire is taking video clips to the next level. I think this video for their track The Wilderness Downtown is one of the most creative music videos I’ve ever seen. And even the track is pretty good.
Entirely built in HTML5 and built for Google Chrome, it shows an entirely new of making music videos. If you haven’t done it yet, see for yourself. Just enter the adress of where you grew up and enjoy!

Vital, born by the name of Duranta D. Cook is a singer/songwriter who, in my opinion, makes nice tunes. He just released this awesome video for his track Airport, directed by TAKCOM. A perfect marriage between music and video. Enjoy!
(PS. The track is mixed in 5.1 Surround sound, so blast it where available)
Anthony E. Zuiker, the creator of CSI, has created a new way of intergrating books, the web and movies into one. Meet Level 26. The website level26.com and the Level 26 books (3 titels currently) combine to form a “digi-novel,” a multi-platform experience that moves the reader from passages in the books to videos and interactive content: “As you read the book, you’ll see calls-to-action that direct you to the website to enter codes that unlock Cyber-bridges. These Cyber-bridge movies take the experience to the next level, immersing you in the action and putting you inside the minds of a twisted serial killer and the man sent to take him down.” as they put it on their website. Sounds a bit Hollywood, but the concept is pretty interesting. Besides the story itself there is a large community of readers too. Could this be the future of books?
Yep, more Lego! If you aren’t one of the 3 million people who have already watched this video already: GO CHECK IT OUT!
8 Bit Trip is a video by Swedish duo Rymdreglage. The video is a piece of art. Using Lego to pay tribute to all the 8-bit classics they have created a masterpiece. And they have known: After putting the video up, their website crashed after a few hours because it wasn’t able to handle all the traffic. After only 7 days 2 million people have watched the video. Now thats what I call a hit. After 8 months, 1500 hours and many, many pictures this is the least they deserve!
This ad was aired after Spain became European Champion this year. It shows the Nike endorsed players from the Spanish team (Torres, Puyol, Fabregas, Iniesta and Ramos) write all sorts of prejudices about spanish football on their body.
300 young Spanish football players where asked why they thought Spain had not won any great prize recently in football.
Translated, this is what the say:
Iniesta: 82 % says we have no leadership
Fabregas :91% says there is no “magic” in the game
Puyol: 78 % says we don’t impose respect with the opponent
Ramos: 90% doesn’t identify with the team
Torres: go to the next level
It has something spooky over it because of the stop-motion style of shooting. I’m not really sure whether I like it or not. How about you?
No no no. I didn’t forget about him! This is the first ever Jordan commercial by Nike. The story behind this is an example of Nike’s marketing brilliance. When Nike introduced the shoe in 1985, it was the first multi-coloured shoe on the court. The director of the NBA actually banned the shoe, because it violated the dress code. Jordan would be fine a couple of thousand dollars each time he wore them during a game.
Instead of backing down, Nike encouraged Jordan to wear the shoe, and labeled it “The shoe banned by the NBA.” They turned the bann into their advantage, as the following commercial reveals…
This is the commercial Nike used during the 2008 Olympics. Love the music music by The Killers (“All The Things I’ve Done), and the great mix of classic and contemporary footage. Another great piece of work by Nike and W+K… Keep ‘em coming please!
I wonder how Nike is going to support his comeback this year… Here is one of the older ones, made by W+K (offcourse). I think it is from 2004 (but please correct me if I’m wrong!). Somehow it catches me, and makes me want to jump on my bike and just ride!
